If sessions stop playing, pause unexpectedly, or fail to download, this is usually caused by your device’s battery settings.
Android devices often restrict apps running in the background to save power. This can interrupt audio playback, especially when your screen is off.
What You Need to Do
Make sure the app is set to No Restriction (or similar) in your battery settings.
This allows the app to run normally in the background and prevents interruptions.
How to Change This Setting
If you didn’t select this during installation, you can update it manually:
Option 1
- Open Settings
- Go to Battery or Battery Saver
- Select Battery Usage or App Battery Management
- Find and select SelfHypnosis.com
- Set to No Restriction (or similar)
Option 2 (alternative path)
- Open Settings
- Go to Apps or Apps & Notifications
- Select See All Apps or App Management
- Find and select SelfHypnosis.com
- Tap Battery
- Set to No Restriction (or similar)
Different Names for This Setting
Depending on your device, “No Restriction” may appear as:
- Don’t Optimize
- Unrestricted
- Allow Background Activity
- No Background Restrictions
- Run in Background
These all mean the same thing.
Why This Is Needed
Some built-in apps (like music or streaming apps) are automatically allowed to run in the background.
Other apps, including ours, require this setting to be enabled manually.
Important
If this setting is not enabled:
- Playback may stop when your screen turns off
- Downloads may fail or pause
- Sessions may not play smoothly
